ATCOM/INFO Announces Software Development Partnership with Elo TouchSystems

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 30, 1999--

Alliance Links ATCOM/INFO's High-Speed Internet Software with Elo TouchSystem's Touchscreen Products

ATCOM/INFO, the premier provider of public Internet access, today announced a strategic marketing alliance with Elo TouchSystems Inc., global leader in touch technology.

Under the terms of Elo's TouchReady program, ATCOM/INFO will maintain the compatibility of its public terminal software with Elo's touchscreen products. Systems integrators working with public kiosk applications now have a complete platform solution integrating best-of-breed touchscreen technology with the leading software for Internet connectivity.

ATCOM/INFO's proven kiosk management software provides a Web browser that delivers full-featured Internet access, including streaming audio and video, while maintaining critical security that protects the user as well as the kiosk supplier. Service provisioning and billing are handled automatically by the software. Browser re-direct ensures that every user sees the kiosk supplier's message and has the opportunity to buy authorized products.

"Our goal is to make it possible for kiosk developers to concentrate on client needs, not integration issues," observed Tom Caldwell, vice president of engineering at ATCOM/INFO. "By linking our touchscreen systems with the ATCOM software we are able to provide our customers with an interactive marketing solution that takes full advantage of the multimedia potential of the Internet," commented Emily M. Liggett, president of Elo TouchSystems.
