FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE) -- New Company Will Leverage eSAT Technology, Creating Future Business

Opportunities in Vertical Markets Globally

eSAT, Inc. (OTC: ASAT), (FRANKFURT: ES8), a leading global knowledge provider and creator of satellite-based information delivery systems for businesses, governments and educational institutions, Monday announced the formation of a new wholly owned subsidiary company Global Media Technology, Inc. (GMT).

According to materials released by the company, the subsidiary is being set up to increase market opportunities for eSAT's satellite technology, for Internet content and digital data delivery services.

eSAT's wholly owned subsidiary, Global Media Technology, Inc. (GMT), will focus on the integration and delivery of Internet services and online content in the healthcare, education, entertainment and hospitality markets by leveraging the technology, services and products of eSAT, Inc.

The first business venture for GMT is The MovieWallet(TM), an innovative delivery system for feature films and other digital entertainment content to the home consumer and hospitality industries. The MovieWallet is a portable, hand held storage device that holds a minimum of 10 gigabytes of data, enough for three full length, DVD quality or High Definition TV movies.

Movies and other content will be distributed via eSAT's ChannelCasting (IP Multicasting) service to MovieWallet Kiosks located in high traffic retail locations, hotels, hospitals and office buildings. The MovieWallet Kiosks will be constantly updated to meet consumer demands via satellite and wireless technologies. Advanced ordering to selected Kiosks will be allowed via the Internet.

The MovieWallet device will have the ability to provide maximum content security and eliminate the need for other forms of storage such as disks and tapes. "The MovieWallet represents a major win for consumers since distribution of 'new releases' will be instantaneous. Additionally, MovieWallet Kiosks may be installed anywhere, worldwide", stated GMT President, Barry Sandrew, Ph.D.

In addition, eSAT's wholly owned subsidiary SkySP, formerly known as SkyFrames, will utilize eSAT's core satellite and networking technology as well as other forms of broadband connectivity to support the development of new Internet services in rural areas with limited access or infrastructure.

SkySP will be marketing its services primarily to schools, offering a school-centric Internet Service Provider (ISP) solution that significantly benefits the nation's K-12 schools and the communities they serve. SkySP provides at no cost, commercial free Internet access to each ISP hosting school during regular school hours.

The hosting school also receives a percentage of continuous revenue flow of all monthly subscription fees collected from the surrounding community. This revenue source can then be used to purchase additional technology for the school or school district.

SkySP is in the process of developing strategic partnerships with several leaders in the education industry that will introduce the School-Centric solution within their installed base of school facilities. SkySP has formed a strategic partnership with Siemens Information and Communications Networks, Inc., to provide turnkey ISP systems, installation and round the clock maintenance.

SkySP is currently in negotiations for an exclusive source of technology for the SkySP, School-Centric solution.

Sandrew has been appointed as president of GMT and SkySP. In these multiple roles, Sandrew will oversee the development and the implementation of core technology and applications into the vertical markets served by these subsidiaries.

Sandrew has had a remarkably diverse and successful entrepreneurial career spanning the education, medical, entertainment and hospitality industries. He began his career as an educator and neuroscientist at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.

In 1986 Sandrew left academia and founded American Film Technologies (AFT) where he used his expertise in diagnostic digital imaging to create the company's core technology for colorizing black and white classic feature films.

In 1990 Sandrew patented a computer animation technology and founded an animation division within AFT that produced TV and feature film animation for FOX Children's Television and 20th Century Fox. In 1991, Sandrew developed an ink & paint/special effects computer process which AFT used to produce Steven Spielberg's first all digital animated feature films.

In 1993 Sandrew joined The Lightspan Partnership as a co-founder, vice president/chief technology officer. There he attracted top entertainment, animation, video game and engineering talent to create leading edge educational content for U.S. schools. In 1997 Sandrew became president of GNA Entertainment Group, a division of Global Network Architects, Inc. (GNA), which he co-founded in 1997.

In that position he directed the licensing and distribution of entertainment content for broadband distribution into the hospitality industry and developed partnerships with satellite and cable companies as distribution channels for entertainment content to GNA Internet communities.

In early 1999 Sandrew assumed a re-organizational role as executive vice president/CTO of IATResouces Corp. (Nasdaq: IATR). In that position, Sandrew was instrumental in re-directing the company's business from entertainment production and distribution to Internet based e-commerce and represented the company's technology and on-line expertise to the investment community.

"With eSAT's capabilities, services, and groundbreaking products backing us up as we make our initial push into these lucrative markets, we should see significant success and profits on the new venture almost immediately," added Sandrew.

"We launched this subsidiary company, and intend to fund it and SkySP through additional outside investment, eventually offering shares to the public," stated Michael Palmer, CEO and director of eSAT. "eSAT will continue to focus on its core business-to-business strategies and building its global satellite network to service these entities.

"The new companies have been positioned to enter diverse vertical markets while leveraging eSAT's capabilities as a provider of high-speed satellite-based Internet and data delivery services," added Palmer.
