Senior Motorola Executive Joins NetNearU as Executive Vice President for Marketing and Sales
COLLEGE STATION, TX � January 8, 2002 � Jay A. Bonk has joined NetNearU as executive vice president for marketing and sales and officer of the corporation. Bonk previously held senior marketing, product management, strategy, and business development positions with Motorola, Inc. for more than 20 years. Most recently, Bonk was vice president and director of business development for Motorola�s Semiconductor Products Sector where he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions. NetNearU is a software company whose products allow wired and wireless operability and tracking of interactive data.
In his short tenure with NetNearU, Bonk has demonstrated his significant talents as a strategist and business leader. "Before joining NetNearU, I was convinced that the company had the right technology solutions and enormous potential for growth. I am excited to work with other members of the management team to realize our revenue and profitability goals." At Motorola, Bonk was vice president and director of sales and marketing for the Integrated Electronic System Sector in Northbrook, Illinois where he led teams that quadrupled revenues in five years. In addition, he had extensive international marketing experience in Asia and Europe.
