January 9, 2001
Las Vegas, Nevada- Hemisphere West, a specialty distributor/manufacturer of international currency validation products, magnetic/smart card readers and interface products announced today, its latest new product, the "Universal" USB Interface for Coin and Bill Acceptors. "This is a product our customers have been asking us for" stated Hemisphere West's Director of Sales and Marketing, John Petkus. Today, many applications utilize a PC to control their system, many of these new PC controllers have limited serial ports for peripheral devices, such as bill and coin acceptors. The "Universal" USB Interface allows the system designer to utilize these USB ports, avoiding costly serial expansion upgrades to accommodate current currency validation serial interfaces.
The "Universal" USB Interface was designed specifically for use with bill and coin acceptors and will provide an almost 'plug and play' environment. The "Universal" USB Interface will also work with virtually all major manufacturers brands of bill and coin acceptors, such as……
