Self-Service Solutions Leader Netkey Names Jim Perakis Chairman
BRANFORD, Conn. � Jan. 28, 2002 � Netkey, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise software for Web kiosks and self-service systems, today announced that James A. Perakis, former chairman and CEO of Hyperion Software (now Hyperion Solutions Corp., NASDAQ: HYSL), has been named chairman of the board of directors of Netkey. Perakis has served on the Netkey board since October 2001.
Perakis joined Hyperion as chief executive officer in 1985, overseeing that software company's growth from approximately $1 million in revenue to $295 million in 1998. As chairman and CEO, Perakis managed Hyperion through a successful public offering and seven years of profitable growth as a public company. Perakis is a member of the board of the Connecticut Technology Council, where he is active in promoting technology-based industries in the state of Connecticut.
