IBM to Sell, Market and Service Wincor Nixdorf ATM Systems in United States
Paderborn, Germany, January 29, 2002-- Wincor Nixdorf announced today that IBM will now market, sell, and service Wincor Nixdorf ATM self-service systems in the United States.
Under the terms of the agreement, IBM will sell Wincor Nixdorf's ProCash product line, which includes multi-function ATM as well as single-function, multi-media cash dispensers for the retail environments.
Wincor Nixdorf is one of the world market leaders in self-service products. Wincor Nixdorf's ATMs are based on open standards, complementing IBM's open multi-vendor support solutions and comprehensive ATM environment services. The Wincor Nixdorf ATM solutions, widely used in Canada and Europe, offer compact, modular designs, scalability to new software applications, minimal training requirements and low total cost of ownership.
IBM Global Services will sell, service and maintain the Wincor Nixdorf solutions to customers in the financial services industry, as well as other market segments including gaming, hospitality and retail. ATM services from IBM will include installation and installation management, first and second line maintenance and cash management services. Additionally, financing is available to qualified customers through IBM Global Financing.
