KioskCom Happenings - www.kioskcom.com KioskCom Happenings - http://www.kioskcom.com Greetings and welcome to the latest installment of KioskCom Happenings, the official online newsletter of the KioskCom 2000 Conference! KioskCom 2000 is nearing - only four weeks left to register - don't miss out on this sell-out event!! As you know, our annual must-attend event is scheduled for April 17-20th in Las Vegas. Response to the conference has been astounding! The informative presentations and networking opportunities, that you asked for, have truly turned KioskCom 2000 into what past participants have called "The must attend event of the year for kiosk end-users and developers worldwide!" This week we've chosen to highlight the informative and intriguing case study session on "THE NEXT GENERATION OF AIRPORT SELF-SERVICE KIOSKS." In this presentation you will hear from Scott O'Leary and Laurie Gablehouse, both managers at Continental Airlines about how Continental integrated its kiosk program, along with its other e-commerce initiatives into the collective branding of 'eService'. The goal of eService is to enable customers greater control of their travel experience. Continental's award-winning website and kiosk program are the natural foundation for the eService initiative. To date, Continental has deployed more than 200 eService Centers in most of its U.S. domestic airport locations, having replaced its first generation of kiosks formally known as E-Ticket Machines. As Continental continues to grow, the eService Center is seen as a solution to real estate and staffing constraints, and a tool to offer a consistently efficient customer service experience. In the four years since the introduction of the kiosk program, Continental has learned many lessons and continually strides to evolve the integration of self-service in the airport environment. In this presentation, you will hear about: The measures Continental has taken to add value to its kiosk program What steps were taken to ensure the permanence of airport self-service into the new millennium How to overcome real estate & staffing constraints How to offer a consistently efficient customer service experience KioskCom 2000 will highlight several other kiosk installations, including DahlmierChrysler, Borders, and Eastman Kodak, to name just a few. Additionally, participants can choose from four in-depth pre and post conference workshops. If you don't have a conference brochure let us know and we will get you the information right away.
