Netkey Demonstrates Kiosk-Based Supermarket Solution at FMI Marketechnics 2002
SAN DIEGO – Feb. 4, 2002 – Netkey Inc., the leading provider of self-service solutions for customer-focused businesses, is demonstrating new software for supermarkets that integrates personal shopping with popular kiosk-based self-service applications at the Food Marketing Institute’s (FMI) Marketechnics 2002 conference and exhibition, Feb. 3-5, at the San Diego Convention Center. Netkey is demonstrating with Symbol Technologies (NYSE: SBL) at booth 1719, using an IBM (NYSE: IBM) NetVista kiosk.
Built on the Netkey 6 enterprise software suite, the supermarket solution supports kiosk applications such as deli, bakery and sandwich ordering, couponing, loyalty program administration, and product lookup, all on a common software platform. Retailers can use the Netkey 6 technology to quickly deploy a variety of popular self-service applications on a single technology architecture that increases sales, reduces labor costs, and enhances customer loyalty. The Netkey 6 software can deliver applications to a kiosk, Web site or dynamic signage, maximizing multi-channel opportunities while reducing administrative and IT support requirements.
