Kiosks.Org Awards Netkey Software "Best of Show" at Top Kiosk Industry Event
BRANFORD, Conn. and LOUISVILLE, KY -- May 9, 2001 -- Kiosks.Org (http://www.kiosks.org), an organization of self-service technology companies, announced that it has awarded its "Best of Show" Award for the software category to Netkey, Inc. and its Netkey Creator 5.0 software suite.
This is the second year in a row that Netkey has secured a major award at a KioskCom event, according to Kiosks.Org publisher Craig Keefner. The company previously won the "Best of Show" from Kiosks.Org at KioskCom Retail in the summer of 2000.
The Netkey Creator 5.0 software suite is the next generation of the company's successful application authoring and design solution for Web-based self-service devices including kiosks, ATMs and managed PCs. The software provides organizations such as retailers and banks with the software backbone for a multi-channel sales and marketing and inventory extension strategy. Netkey Creator, Netkey Creator Plus and Netkey Creator Studio are the main components comprising the suite.
"The winning features that made this the choice for 'Best of Show' were the software's enhanced development interface, 'drag and drop' integration with kiosk peripheral devices, and robust support for complex multimedia graphics and video," said Keefner. "These innovations provide significant benefits to customers and end-users. Netkey has raised the bar."
Netkey software is currently used by leading companies including Borders, Yahoo!, J.C. Penney Co., Fidelity Investments and Microsoft for innovative, customer-centric kiosk projects.
"Netkey software enables the creation of a wide range of kiosk application solutions for retailers and financial institutions, including Web channel conversion, Web POS and gift registry," explained Alex Richardson, chief executive officer of Netkey. " More importantly, it also helps organizations to reduce the cost of deployment and provide higher returns for their Web kiosk program."
The award was presented last week at the KioskCom 2001 conference and exhibition in Orlando, the kiosk industry's largest event.
Netkey has also been awarded Frost & Sullivan's Market Engineering Leadership Award 2001, several New Media Invision Awards, and design awards from AV Video and Multimedia Producer Magazine.
The Netkey software suite also includes Netkey Manager, a comprehensive e-CRM server solution for Web kiosk network monitoring, reporting, analysis, and content management. It keeps kiosk networks up, running, and generating revenue 24/7 with the powerful yet user-friendly kiosk management interface.
