* RELERA JUMPS INTO ASP INFRASTRUCTURE MIX 
One of the latest companies to throw itself into the infrastructure mix 
is Relera (Denver) a relatively new company (formed in January of this 
year) that is positioning itself to become a premier provider of 
co-location space and bandwidth for the ASP industry. With more than 
$300 million in venture capital funding, Relera is embarking on a 
two-year program to build and manage more than 25 Internet data centers
throughout the U.S. over the next 18 months.

* PROGRESS, ALLEGRIX PARTNER TO ENHANCE ASPEN PROGRAM
Continuing to pave a way for its ISVs to enter the ASP market, 
Progress Software (Bedford, Mass.), has joined forces with Allegrix, 
Inc. (Santa Clara, Calif.), an ASP infrastructure provider of 
application Web-enabling and application hosting services. Through 
the alliance, the companies will jointly provide "ASP in-a-box for 
ASPEN," the newest element of Progress Software's ASP ENablement 
(ASPEN) program.

* GARTNER'S DATAQUEST FORECASTS TREMENDOUS ASP GROWTH 
In its latest report on the ASP market, Dataquest, Inc. (San Jose, 
Calif.), a unit of GartnerGroup, Inc. (Stamford, Conn.), predicts 
staggering growth for ASPs--with the market on pace to reach $3.6 
billion by the end of 2000 and grow to $25 billion by 2004. "The ASP 
market represents a major computing revolution with the power to 
dramatically redraw today's IT ecosystem based on the delivery of 
application services over a network," says Ben Pring, principal 
analyst for Dataquest's Application Services Worldwide program.
