Press Release
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 8, 2001--
friendlyway Inc. (www.friendlyway.com), developer and marketer of
products and services for friendly customer communication, today
announced that it will introduce its stylish, friend@public(TM)
Intelligent Internet Station(TM) to the US trade show and events
industry at The Tradeshow About Tradeshows® (TS2) August 14 -16,
2001 in Anaheim, California. The gracefully curved, floor standing
aluminum or high-gloss black stations offer such advantages as
internet, advanced streaming multimedia and user-friendly
IntelliTouch(TM) touchscreens as standard features and can be upgraded
with PDA connectivity, purchase processing, internal printers, barcode
readers, video cameras, microphones and other devices.
``friendlyway's Intelligent Internet Stations(TM) combine advanced
technology with a user- and exhibitor-friendly face,'' according to
friendlyway President, Alexander von Welczeck. ``Our stations offer a
fun, compelling experience for customers and are stylishly designed,
durable and mobile, making them perfect for trade shows, events,
conferences and product launches. They even come with a flight case
making them ideal for frequent exhibitors.''
The friend@public(TM) Intelligent Internet Station(TM) is a high
impact, elegant way for exhibitors to disseminate information, make
for a point of service or offer internet connectivity on-site at trade
shows, conferences or any public gathering. The standalone plug and
play system can deliver rich online and offline content including
e-commerce, internet, intranet and e-mail as well as sophisticated
interactive multimedia. Other advanced features include
friend@media(TM) software, which allows trade show attendees to view
and interact with live broadcasts of events and offers exhibitors a
simplified way to blend, distribute and display all forms of ``rich''
media.
On May 9, 2001, Microsoft used friendlyway's Intelligent Internet
Stations(TM) at the product launch event for its Windows XP operating
system. Fifteen stations were set up to demonstrate Microsoft's new
software to VIPs and press. BMW used friend@public units to debut its
new flagship ``7 Series'' automobiles. The Intelligent Internet
Station(TM) is the best-selling information station in its category in
Europe and in April of 2001 was honored with the ``Product With
Personality Award'' at the KioskCom Conference in Orlando Florida.
friendlyway will demonstrate its Intelligent Internet Stations(TM)
at BOOTH No. 825 at TS2 and offer substantial show incentives on their
