Degasoft, Maker of Kudos Software, Announces New Company Name, Web Site and Product Release

Kudos Development Group, formerly Degasoft, unveils Kudos version 6.1 and improved Web site

London (1st October 2001) - Degasoft, the company behind high-performance Kudos(tm) software for interactive terminals and kiosks, today announced a name change to Kudos Development Group along with the launch of its improved Web site, www.kudosdevelopment.com. Also being announced is the latest release of Kudos, version 6.1, a further landmark for Kudos and its customers. The changes reflect the company's strong product offering and aggressive business strategy.

The new Kudos version 6.1 is now available with several new and improved features including enhanced browser security, greater flexibility in application design, dynamic grouping of kiosks for targeted content distribution, and better access to information on network activity. Kudos 6.1 moves the scalable functionality of the previous version to a new level, ensuring a robust product that is capable of managing thousands of terminals.

"Kudos 6.1 gives customers significantly increased value," said Halldor Sigurjonsson, VP of Product Development. "Kudos enables companies to establish a wider customer-facing presence with a high performance product that has unrivalled scalability and stability. We are ideally placed to take this industry a major step forward."

The new name - Kudos Development Group - enables the company to leverage its products, communications strategy and respected standing within the kiosk software market. And in order to serve customers and partners better, www.kudosdevelopment.com has undergone a complete overhaul. The new site supports the company's new brand identity, which in turn reflects recent corporate changes-from substantial growth and relocation to London to the opening of its first North American office.

The enhanced and more substantial "support intranet" allows customers and partners access to a range of tools including a defect tracking system, FAQ and knowledge base, the latest software builds and patches, user manuals, product specification information, and more.

"Our new name, Kudos Development Group, better reflects our business goals and places more emphasis on our software and service offerings," said Thor Ibsen, CEO and President of Kudos Development Group. "With much more than improved content and navigability, our new Web site offers customers and partners an online support system. Combined with the release of Kudos 6.1, these strategic advances underscore the fact that we're now a major player in this arena."
