New U.S. Reseller Council President

PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 19, 1998--Sun Microsystems, Inc. announced today that Irv Miglietta, president of The Allied Group, an information technologies integrator and a 10 year Sun Authorized Reseller, has been named president of Sun's Reseller Council.

The Reseller Council, comprised of core executives from Sun's Authorized Reseller companies, is an integral part of Sun's reseller initiatives and solidifies the commitment and importance Sun places on its channel.

The Sun Reseller Council was formed in an effort to continue to service and understand its reseller's needs. The Reseller Council serves as an advisory board to both Sun's reseller and geographic sales market area and is one of Sun's key channel programs. Sun relies on the council to provide feedback on issues relating to the channel and developing a broad range of initiatives to support its value-added reseller channel.
