CeroView Selects Netkey Software To Power Internet Kiosks for NBC

Netkey, the leading software provider for the Internet Kiosk Channel, announced today that CeroView, a top multi-media technology and design firm, selected Netkey software to power a kiosk network for NBC Enterprises, the distribution arm of the NBC television network. NBC is a unit of General Electric (NYSE: GE).

NBC used the kiosks to promote various NBC programming it intends to sell or redistribute in the European entertainment market at the recent MIPCOMM Conference and Exhibition in Cannes, France.

CeroView created a series of interactive multi-media systems to promote NBC programming including the prime time hit "Providence," the Emmy award series "Will & Grace," and late night power-house shows "Saturday Night Live" and "Late Night with Jay Leno." The kiosks were central to on-site activities to attract European programming executives to the NBC exhibit.

"With Netkey, we found a solid and reliable operating system that combined speed-to-market with strong staff and technical support," stated Derek Fretheim, president of CeroView. "Dependability is essential and the Netkey platform makes Web kiosk solutions as reliable as dial-tone."

The Netkey-powered kiosks included a series of Flash animations and a number of customized MPEG videos. Users are able to view video segments, cast interviews, see behind the scenes footage, and promotional runs. CeroView emulated the new NBC Enterprise branding themes and graphics into the kiosks and was charged with enhancing the key conference objectives for NBC.

"We're excited that CeroView chose Netkey to create the Internet kiosk channel for this important client project," said Alex Richardson, chief executive officer of Netkey. "The dynamic content provided through the CeroView kiosks developed for NBC sets a new standard in the multi-media experience, and is a vivid demonstration of the power and reliability of Netkey software."
