Mosaic Software first to market with PayPoint
* Prepay electronic top-ups enabled for UK�s 4 mobile
network operators
London, 5th November 2001 - Mosaic Software, global
electronic funds transfer (EFT) solutions for consumer-
generated software transactions announced today that its
Postilion, EFT transaction platform, has been implemented by
PayPoint, one of the first UK companies to offer instant
electronic top-ups for mobile phones.
The announcement today, extends the PayPoint Pre-Pay �top-
up� offering to all four major mobile network operators in
the UK; Vodafone, Orange, BT Cellnet and One2One. With over
8,000 locations across the UK, PayPoint is the UK�s leading
branded national network for collecting payments �over the
counter�. Since the introduction of pre-pay mobile phones
in the UK four years ago, the process for the consumer
topping up their accounts has improved dramatically and this
latest development gives consumers increased accessibility
to the networks.
PayPoint uses Postilion PrePay, a Windows based application,
to drive all mobile prepay transactions acquired through
their network. At the point of acquiring the transaction
Postilion PrePay communicates to the mobile network to
ensure the correct top up is allocated to the consumers
account.
