New High Speed Thermal Kiosk Printer

Dallas, Texas - Telpar has announced the Telpar Mercury high-print speed MTP-1500 Modular Thermal Printer. It is designed for fast delivery kiosk applications. With print speeds approaching 150 mm/sec (6 in/sec), the MTP-1500 Series of printers bring about a new era of speed, ruggedness and reliability. This printer is powered by the high-speed new Epson mechanism
The Mercury Series is ideal for use with custom software or Microsoft Windows applications based kiosk and other receipting environments. Drivers are available for both Windows 95/98 and NT 4.0
The printer features a long-life autocutter with a choice of full or partial cut.
The Mercury MTP-1500 Modular Thermal Printer is being introduced at KioskCOM Europe. The conference, sponsored by IQPC - International Quality Production Centers, features technology for kiosks and is being held in Amsterdam from July 20 to July 23, 1999.
Initial orders for the product have been received and deliveries made. Pricing is volume dependent.
