InfraRed Presence Detector

KIS has designed and can provide an infrared presence detector upon request.

Note that KIS has found the mat-style detector to be far superior in actual operation and that unit is what we recommend.

KIS KIOSK OBJECT PRESENCE DETECTOR

GENERAL INFORMATION -

The System consists of two control boards. The sensor unit, approx 1.5 in by 1.5 in by 0.5 in, contains the infrared transmitter and receiver. This unit is communicates to the second control Communication board, approx 2.0 in by 3.0 in by a custom DB9 serial cable. The Communication board contains the RS-232 communication chip and requires connection to a COM PORT of the PC via a standard DB9 serial cable, included. The Communication board requires power via a 24VDC power transformer, included, which jointly supplies power to the sensor unit. The sensor unit is adjustable, via a top mounted dial, to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor within a range of 1.0 to 36.0 inches.
