Newsletter from Kiosk Industry Group

This week the news is the KioskCom and Digital Signage tradeshow in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay. This is the last year for the show to be called KioskCom. Next year (or later this year in New York?) the new name is Customer Engagement Technology World. It's a bit like a certain ATM show being merged into Financial World/BAI..

The business climate this year is much different than last year or year before. Projects are moving forward and budgets emerging finally. RFPs across all sectors are up. CET World (if I may) will focus on retail and we expect the digital signage exhibitors to be even more vocal.

One news item noted below is from Stephen Dukker ex-CEO of eMachines with a new $20 computing chip built into LG LCDs. Sprinkle with a little 4G and anything is possible.
