NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 8, 1997--
Mortgage customers can communicate with bank's customer
support staff remotely
Dyad Corporation, Inc. announced today at the 84th annual Mortgage Banker's Association meeting that Birmingham, Alabama-based New South Federal Savings Bank (formerly Collateral Mortgage) will be the exclusive provider of call center services and mortgage products for customers using Dyad's MoneyPRO mortgage lending kiosks.
In addition to supporting New South Federal's plans for a kiosk-based mortgage lending network, they will handle call center services for any company that wants to outsource this function. New South's call center which is scheduled to open November 1, 1997, joins Dyad's existing Ft. Myers, Florida facility to expand financial institutions' options for managing call center services.
Dyad's MoneyPRO systems are self-paced; touch-screen kiosks which allow consumers to apply for mortgages. The MoneyPRO kiosk gives borrowers point-of-sale access to mortgage rates, information and lending decisions.
New South Federal is one of the largest savings banks in the south with total assets approaching $1 billion. The company has 40 loan production offices in 11 states. David E. Mewbourne, Executive Vice President, New South Federal, said, "We conducted a thorough search of point-of-sale mortgage lending solutions before selecting Dyad. Our call center operation is a significant commitment on our part to use technology to improve how mortgages are delivered to customers."
C. Michael Bowers, president & CEO of Dyad Corporation, said, "We are excited that a company with New South Federal's reputation has not only selected our mortgage systems but has become our partner to provide call center services for other Dyad customers."
Bowers continued, "We believe this is right type of technology at the right time for delivering more services through the retail channel."
The kiosks were designed as convenience-based, cost-effective loan origination and information centers for borrowers. Users can easily navigate through the system at their own speed, accessing information on mortgage procedures, products, rates and appraisals. They can receive on-line help and even get their mortgage approved.
More About MoneyPRO
MoneyPRO's advanced video conferencing capabilities take mortgage lending to an entirely new level by emulating a loan officer at the kiosk location. Not only does it bring mortgage experts to remote locations it enables financial institutions to tap into the mortgage industry at a low cost. Everything from prequalification to being approved for a loan can be completed in under twenty minutes.
MoneyPRO was designed with an open-system architecture allowing financial institutions to run the kiosks on their networks. Currently, the system has automated underwriting capabilities through Freddie Mac's Loan Prospector(r) and Fannie Mae's Desktop Underwriter(r). MoneyPRO is also compatible with a full spectrum of Windows 95(tm) mortgage origination software applications.
