LOS ANGELES, HERRING ON HOLLYWOOD, July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Silicon Artists, Inc. are delighted to announce the appointment of David S. Barbara in the position of Director of Sales and Marketing. Barbara will be the figurehead of the company's US operations, based in Santa Monica, CA. Barbara will be spearheading the further development of the company's entertainment and corporate work on Web sites, Intranets and kiosk applications.

Barbara held a similar post for a Beverly Hills based ISP, and has some five years experience in high technology sales behind him, including securing web hosting for many of the best all-time visited movie sites.

Silicon Artists, Inc. specializes primarily in high-end entertainment content for Web sites. The very first cartoon Webisode ``Enredados'' was created by Silicon Artists, Inc. for Spanish Teleco Telefonica and was first broadcast in 1996. A total of three series, including spin-off Super Admira, ran through 1997. More recently, Planet Hollywood Online (its partners include Planet Hollywood, CAA and Compaq) has commissioned a seven part original Webisode series ``Revenge of the Claw'', created in Shockwave Flash.

Silicon Artists, Inc. recently completed two contracts for a very high profile entertainment company's new venture into location based entertainment sites. This included a promotional Web site and an interactive kiosk application featuring Internet tours and introducing location guests to the Internet.

On the corporate side, a company Intranet was designed and created for one of the world's largest insurance companies. Silicon Artists, Inc. created an interface designed for employees working internally and externally, integrating information from a number of sources.
