SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 30, 1998--Patriot Scientific
Corp. (OTC:PTSC - news), the developer of the first market-ready
microprocessor for Java(TM), today announced that it has signed a
distribution agreement with Japan's Real Vision.
Under terms of the agreement, Real Vision will market Patriot's
PSC1000 Java microprocessor in Japan and utilize the microprocessor's
core in the design of custom integrated circuits (ICs). Serving
customers such as Sony, Fujitsu, NEC, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, Sharp and
NKK, Real Vision is one of Japan's fastest growing semiconductor
distributors and custom VLSI (IC) designers.

The Patriot PSC1000 Java microprocessor is the only true
low-cost, high-performance, native Java processor. It is ideal for
Internet-enabled information kiosks, cell phones, video phones,
embedded Web servers, set-top boxes and a host of other new Internet
appliances.
The 32-bit microprocessor, based on Patriot's patented
ShBoom(TM) technology, is designed to provide cost-efficient solutions
for the growing number of new Java applications, as well as other
traditional embedded systems markets.
