DIGITAL VIDEO SYSTEMS HOSTS DVD FORUM AT INTERACTIVE DIGITAL MEDIA ASSOCIATION

LOS GATOS, Calif., October 15, 1998-Digital Video Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:DVID)
is hosting a Digital Versatile Disc (DVD) forum during the third annual
Interactive Digital Media Association (IDMA) Summit meeting October 23 - 25 in
Orlando, FL.  The Forum, a four hour Special Session on the first day of the
conference, will feature many experts from companies including; Intec America
Marketing, Spruce, Multimedia Technology Center, Sonic, LSI, Cinram and DVS.
The presentations will be focused on the state of the art storage technology
DVD and it's applications in multimedia.
