Pathways Announces Installation at Six Flags Magic Mountain

09:15 a.m. Nov 27, 1998 Eastern

WOODINVILLE, Wash., Nov. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pathways Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: PTHW) today announced that it has completed an installation at Six Flags Magic Mountain Theme and Water Park, in Valencia, California, of its TIKITBOX(TM) II unattended ticketing system. The installation was pursuant to a previously announced contract with Six Flags Magic Mountain for the upgrade of its unattended ticketing system and to integrate the features of Pathways' new TIKITBOX(TM) II product shown at the recent International Association of Amusement Park and Attractions trade show in Dallas, TX. As is standard with all of the Pathways Group's products, the contract also provides for transaction processing services.

This system, which is a significant piece of Pathways' proprietary eTeller(TM) product line, allows Six Flags' customers to purchase various admission ticket products in an unattended fashion utilizing a credit card. The system is also Smart Card compliant. As the use of smart card payment systems expand in the marketplace, the transition for Six Flags Magic Mountains will be a simple software upgrade. Further, Six Flags Magic Mountain may immediately opt to take advantage of various software functions within the system for creating and processing their own loyalty system.

Pathways C.E.O. and President Carey F. Daly II commented, "As we had hoped and expected the upgrade to our new kiosk design and software platform has gone very smoothly. Our new system will provide Six Flag's customers great ticketing access, 24 hour availability and greater reliability. It continues to give the park's management real time tracking and monitoring for all of our system's operations. This flexible, advanced product can be attributed to the combined efforts of our technical and marketing group's concepts, architectural design and implementation."
