ETM Ticket Machines Now Available in Greater Bay Area Safeway Stores

ETM Ticket Machines at Safeway Tickets 42nd San Francisco International Film Festival

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 9, 1999--The ETM Entertainment Network is partnering with Safeway Inc. to operate 28 ETM ticket kiosks in Safeway stores located in the greater Bay Area.

This is ETM's first venture in Northern California. This service will provide Safeway customers with the 24-hour convenience of purchasing tickets to a wide variety of venues.

Most notably, ETM through Safeway store locations, is the exclusive ticket vendor for the San Francisco International Film Festival. Other venues include Red & White Fleet Boat Tours, Major League and college sports, and amusement parks.

ETM is expanding into Safeway store locations as an extension of their previous relationship with 81 locations in Vons and Pavilion stores in Southern California, 27 Safeway stores in Arizona and 18 Vons stores in Nevada (a wholly owned subsidiary of Safeway).

Among the 300 ETM Ticket Machines in the United States, ETMs are now in 136 Safeway stores in Arizona, Nevada and Northern California, and in Vons and Pavilion stores throughout Southern California.

``Consumers have come to understand that their ticket buying is a cinch with ETM machines. There's access 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ticket buyers can pinpoint specific seating and they can walk away from an ETM kiosk with tickets in-hand,'' added Schniedermeier.
