   NOTICE TEXT : The Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority is soliciting 
expressions of interest from qualified firms interested in assisting the 
Authority to or on their own, develop and procure a state of the art Customer 
Information Technology System. WMATA would like to explore partnering with the 
private sector in an effort to provide a Traveler's Information System that 
will integrate regional public transit with the area's business, educational, 
entertainment, tourist assets and entities. The proposed Information Kiosks 
Public Access Terminals shall be ADA compliant, vandal resistant and 
weatherproof, utilize touch screen technology and include point to point 
transit related itinerary queries, transit related special events information, 
local and regional points of interests, listing of government centers, major 
businesses, churches, hotels, theaters and restaurants. WMATA intends to 
provide multiple public information kiosks in approximately seventy-six 
Metrorail Stations with two or four kiosks per station all located within the 
Metrorail System. Interested firms are invited to submit an expression of 
interest with their qualifications for review and for inclusion on a list of 
potential proposers. Information may be faxed to the Office of Procurement at 
202-962-2038. Telephone inquiries will be accepted. This is not a request for 
competitive proposals. No formal solicitation exists at this time. No award 
will be made on the basis of any response to this notice.
