MICROSOFT REVEALS WEB-ENABLED PHONES

MAR 22, 1999, M2 Communications - Microsoft Corp has together with
several telephone manufacturers previewed new web-enabled telephones.
The phones, which use Microsoft's Windows CE operating system, consist
of a traditional phone handset and numeric keypad for phone services
and of a touch-screen display and keyboard for web usage. With the
phone's standard analogue 33.6Kb/s modem, users will be able to access
the Internet for full web browsing, while other services available in
the phone include an address book, caller ID and e-mail.
