The Company's kiosks, which are expected to be launched this month throughout leading automotive dealerships across the nation, will provide the only real- time consumer data information in the industry. The Company also announced the appointment of William Bingham III, 35, as Vice President of Media Research, a newly-created position. Mr. Bingham, a former executive at Arbitron, a leading provider of market research, will spearhead the Company's sales efforts for its kiosks, reporting to Jeff Odato, Senior Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Miracom. He will be based at the Company's new Atlanta sales office which will open in early July. Miracom's Kiosks Address Rapidly Growing Market "The initial results from our beta testing of Miracom's kiosks coupled with very strong feedback from our existing customer base have enabled us to increase our sales target for this product to over $30 million in only the first year of its launch," said Shawn Lucas, Chairman and Co-CEO of Miracom Corporation. "Bill's appointment further expands our world class software, research & development team, and will enable us to more effectively enhance our sales and marketing to the automotive and retail industries. Bill's extensive experience and expertise in media research will enable us to grow faster and more efficiently as we begin to accelerate the sales and distribution of our Miratouch kiosk systems." Miracom's kiosks enable businesses to make informed market strategy and planning decisions, not based on limited diary counts or assumed consumer expectation, but rather on the most sophisticated and comprehensive consumer marketing information available in the world. The need for quantifiable information and computer equipment and data in the automotive industry is growing rapidly. The market for these products amounted to $900 million in 1998 representing a 14% growth over $790 million in 1997. According to the Automotive News, the overall market for the automotive industry is projected to be $1 billion by the end of 1999. Appointment Brings Significant Industry Experience to Miracom Since 1995, Mr. Bingham has served as an executive with The Arbitron Company, a division of Ceridian Corporation, the leading provider of market research for radio stations, advertising agencies and advertisers. "Miracom's research products, particularly its patent pending real time data gathering kiosk systems, are cutting edge and, I believe, will shape the future of market research.
