HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 5, 1999--Houston-based
Intermallamerica.com (http://www.intermallamerica.com) today announced
the signing of a strategic alliance and joint venture agreement with
Internet Kiosk, Ltd., an Israeli-based Internet business consulting
company specializing in the implementation of e-commerce solutions for
Israeli retail merchants.
The agreement, Intermallamerica.com's fourth major alliance with
a European or Middle Eastern company since June, appoints Internet
Kiosk as Intermallamerica.com's exclusive strategic partner in Israel.
Under terms of the agreement, Internet Kiosk will recruit Israeli
businesses seeking to export products or provide services to U.S.
consumers to affiliate with Intermallamerica.com's online shopping
malls. Additionally, Internet Kiosk has been granted a right of first
refusal for exclusive representation of Intermallamerica.com in Hong
Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Indonesia and Australia.
Internet Kiosk acts as a business consultant for the Israeli
Export Institute, the United Kibbutz Industry Association and many
other public and private organizations. El Ad retained Internet Kiosk
to consult on a web development project sponsored by the French
government for the cosmetics industry. Additionally,
Intermallamerica.com has been invited to present its global e-commerce
solutions to Israeli merchants at one of Internet Kiosk's seminars in
Israel in November.
Products and services offered by Israeli merchants will be
featured in Intermallamerica.com's International Marketplace. The
online International Marketplace, which is projected to be operational
in the third quarter of this year, will be devoted exclusively to
international merchants who export products or provide services to
North American consumers.
``Our agreements with Internet Kiosk represent a tremendous step
forward in establishing Intermallamerica.com's global e-commerce
footprint,'' said Cheryl D. Austin, president of Intermallamerica.com.
``In addition to opening access to products and services offered from
or in the Holy Land, Internet Kiosk's wide ranging sphere of influence
holds the promise of facilitating our penetration into Asia and
Australia,'' she said.

(http://www.intermallamerica.com) also announced the signing of
