Release 2.6 Feature List:

• New Feature: fully controllable card reader functionality. Now you can set/edit the "Ready...", "Reading...", and "Good Read" captions of the Card Reader Widget. The "Good Read" caption can include any component of the card just read (like "Track2, Field3").

• New Feature: URL formula generation. Now you can ask users questions and/or collect user data, then generate a target URL from this information and send it to your server. Great for security-based websites or for creating ultra-friendly "forms" (forms that are filled in not with HTML but with KBOX). Refer to the updated documentation for details on URL formula creation.

• New Feature: include any component of a swiped card in URL formula generation. Specify the Track / Field component to include in the URL using the "{Track#:#}" formula operator. Great for card-swipe recognition (membership) kiosk applications.

• New Feature: Database objects can now display pictures and/or sounds. Database should contain fileSpecs that contain the location on disk of what to display. Use the keyword "cfgDir" to shorten database filespecs if desired (cfgDir = "current configuration sub-directory"; example: cfgDir = "c:\kbox_v2\example").

• New Feature: outgoing E-Mail can now contain a pre-defined signature file. Create and place a file called "sig.txt" in the "\email" folder and check the "Append Signature" option on the System/Browser/E-Mail tab.

• New Feature: have the automatic FTP function also send all files contained in the "\upload" folder when performing FTP updating. Great for third party EXE programs that want to leverage KBOX for sending collected data, pictures, or information.

• New Feature: you may optionally disable the "More Time..." graphic presentation which occurs before a transition to the Attract Mode. Simply set the "More Time" value on the System / Attract tab to "-1" to disable this presentation.

• New Logic: displaying a "hidden" Input Field with the name of 'dbSearch' now always clears the value of this field each time it is displayed. The Input Field named "dbSearch" is used for custom database search where the user specifies the string or sub-string component to find within your database kiosk application.
