BEST BUY ADDS STATE-OF-THE-ART TECHNOLOGY EXHIBIT TO ALANIS MORISSETTE AND TORI AMOS 5 1/2 WEEK TOUR

MINNEAPOLIS, Aug 18, 1999: The cutting edge technology of MP3 will come to New York September 1 when the Alanis Morissette and Tori Amos 5 1/2 Weeks Tour arrives. Best Buy is a sponsor of this unique tour with an interactive hands-on display at each concert site. The display allows fans to explore how MP3 works using the Creative Nomad and Diamond Rio brand hardware.

MP3 is a data compression format that allows audio to be downloaded from the Internet. MP3 utilizes the technology that Best Buy retails with thousands of songs available for downloading to a hard drive or portable digital audioplayer.

There will be four interactive kiosks at the concert site equipped with touchscreen technology. Each kiosk has eight tabletop interactive systems where fans can download MP3 music. Concert goers may also try two of thenew hi-tech MP3 players available.
