MicroTouch unveils kiosk boxes
Aug. 20, 1999 (Electronic Buyers News - CMP via COMTEX) -- MicroTouch
Systems Inc.'s kiosks division this month rolled out its latest line of
kiosk enclosures for commercial, government, point-of-sale, and
point-of-information applications.
Called Alliance, the product line includes the 1000, a stand-alone
version; the 1200, a slim-profile model; the 1600, a countertop model;
and the 1400, a wall-mount unit.
Models 1000, 1200, and 1600 are available now. The 1400 will be
available later this quarter, according to MicroTouch, Metheun, Mass.
Executives said the enclosures are designed to help kiosk integrators
complete projects faster, without sacrificing quality, functionality,
or aesthetics.
The units are modular and can accommodate a standard set of hardware
components, allowing customers to select those that best fit their
applications. Made of plastic, steel, and melamine, they feature
pull-out shelving, providing front access to all components.
