Announcement Asserts CAIS as Leader in Multi-User Broadband Marketplace

CAIS Internet (Nasdaq: CAIS) announced today that Bass Hotels has issued a letter of intent for CAIS Internet as a chosen provider of broadband access, portal content, IPORT kiosk solutions, meeting room and back office solutions in its hotels and resorts. This agreement asserts CAIS Internet's dominant leadership of the multi-user market - with the opportunity to deliver broadband access and portal content to more than 1.5 million eyeballs daily in hotel and apartment communities across the country.

The letter of intent with Bass Hotels gives CAIS entry to negotiate a contract for Bass Hotels' 400,000 guest rooms and 2,700 properties worldwide. Each year, more than 150 million people stay at Bass Hotels & Resorts(SM)' international lodging brands. Around the globe, more than 2,700 hotels flying the Holiday Inn(R), Holiday Inn Express(R), Crowne Plaza(R), Staybridge Suites(SM) by Holiday Inn(R) and Inter-Continental(R) Hotels and Resorts flags offer a variety of services, amenities and lodging experiences catering to virtually every travel occasion and guest need. CAIS and Bass will announce specific contract and portal content details at a later date.

CAIS announced three major contracts in the last 45 days with Staybridge Suites by Holiday Inn (6,700 rooms, 250 properties and also a Bass brand), Cendant Properties on Oct. 19 (with more than 700,000 rooms and 6,000 properties), and now an endorsement of its service by Bass Hotels. CAIS Internet set the debate for broadband access solutions in the multi-user market and hospitality in January when it announced the first major chain-wide service contract with Hilton Hotels Corporation.

CAIS Internet has master agreements to deliver broadband access with major hotel chains like Hilton Hotels, John Q. Hammons Hotels, Carlson Worldwide Properties, Staybridge Suites by Holiday Inn, Cendant Corporation and now Bass Hotels - including brands like Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, Radisson, Embassy Suites, Doubletree Suites, Ramada, Hampton Inn, Crowne Plaza, and Inter-Continental. CAIS has contracts with apartment community real estate corporations like One Point Communications, Tarragon Realty and Town and Country Trust. Those master agreements address the delivery of CAIS guest room broadband access, as well as meeting room, common area IPORT kiosk solutions and Business Anywhere(TM) self-operated business centers to all CAIS alliances. CAIS also has trials with all major hotel chains and real estate corporations.
