NetPack's Kiosk Plan for Malls Fulfills Distribution for Small- and Medium-Sized Internet Software Firms

Story Filed: Monday, November 22, 1999 11:18 AM EST

IRVINE, Calif., Nov 22, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- "We have received hundreds of inquiries since the release of the new NetPack RE-commerce system," stated Nicole Perez, vice president of sales & marketing.

"These inquiries are coming from small- to medium-size start-up software development and e-publishing companies looking for an alternative to the presently expensive distribution channels in an attempt to place their software on the retailer's shelf, and into the hands of the consumer."

As quoted by a U.K. developer of new business software, "Trying to distribute new software is the most difficult task in the world."

NetPack will offer the distribution of software, audio book MP-3 titles and e-publications on the new RE-commerce cards in conventional shopping malls across the country through NetPack kiosk cart stores. Roll out will start in January and be completed by April 2000.

The high-tech kiosk carts will display over a hundred titles of computer games, software, and e-books, on NetPack cards, without the conventional shrink-wrapped box.

NetPack has collaborated with a number of new software firms and large industry software OEM's. Great products are planned for release in the New Year. The response to the company's unique alternative for software fulfillment has been outstanding.

For further information on the NetPack RE-commerce system, visit the corporate site at www.netpackage.com, or send all inquiries to [email protected].
