AOL amusement park kiosks planned.
LOS ANGELES (Bloomberg) - Seagram Co.'s Universal Studios and America Online Inc., the No. 1 Internet service, said they will install computer kiosks in Universal's new Island of Adventure park in Orlando, Fla.
The kiosks will allow park visitors to check e-mail, read America Online content and view two Universal Web sites. America Online subscribers will have direct access to a Universal content page on America Online, providing park and travel information.
The program is part of a marketing agreement that will promote Universal on America Online's Internet brands such as the AOL and CompuServe Internet services and the Netscape network of Web sites. The two companies also expect to add other America Online features and services at the kiosks.
The agreement was reported in the Wall Street Journal.
