TouchVision Launches Interactive Media Applications for RetailSEAL BEACH, Ca., July 13 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- TouchVision, Inc. TouchVisions Interactive media and Internet-based kiosk services are opening up new opportunities for retailers to better compete in the intense battle for customer loyalty and brand recognition in the new e-retail business landscape. TouchVision announced today the launch of new interactive kiosk-based applications targeted for the retail and e-commerce industry. These new applications include 1) a kiosk-based customer loyalty card program, 2) electronic gift certificates, and 3) interactive product catalog (shopping cart). Each application is based on TouchVisions proprietary Internet-based kiosk operating system that allows an in-store kiosk application to be fully integrated with the retailers web e-commerce site. These applications, when implemented individually or together in a single complete in-store solution provide a tremendous enhancement to the customers shopping experience while providing the retailer with the means to interact more with the customer and capture valuable marketing data. The Internet presents unique challenges for traditional "brick and mortar" retailers. In a short time, formidable Internet-only competitors have leveraged the mediums low barriers to entry and taken market share from established retail brands. Traditional retailers must develop strategies to compete in this new channel. At the same time, they must develop a plan to integrate this new interactive channel with their existing operations such as physical stores and catalogue operations. Many of these retailers have responded by opening their own Internet e-retail sites on the Web in hope of catching up. However, with the fierce on-line competition, it is difficult for traditional retailers to differentiate themselves from the large numbers of new Internet-only e-retail sites popping up on the web every day. Maintaining brand awareness and earning customer loyalty will be key to the successful e-retailers. An in-store loyalty kiosk concept will be offered that will be tightly integrated with the customers existing POS systems and their Internet web site. For example a customer transacting a purchase on the Internet can view their award point balance while shopping at the retailers physical store. Likewise, the user shopping at the physical store can use a touchscreen kiosk to view the status of their loyalty account, see product promotions, and be directed to the web site for convenient access to additional information and customer services. TouchVision builds end-to-end Internet-based business solutions by integrating systems, publishing and distributing broadband media, creating e-commerce enterprises and providing outsourcing services to the retail, entertainment, tourism and healthcare industries. TouchVision helps businesses use the latest digital technology to more effectively compete in the rapidly changing electronic commerce landscape.
