(Nasdaq:UCMP - news) announced today that its subsidiary, North Carolina-based Continuum Technology Corporation, has entered into an agreement with Holtsville, N.Y.-based Symbol Technologies, Inc., (NYSE:SBL - news) a global leader in mobile data management systems and services, to jointly develop and produce Price Check Kiosks for one of the largest discount retailers in the world. Under the current terms of the contract, initially worth an estimated $450,000, Continuum will provide design assistance and engineering support as well as the manufacturing of 2,400 Price Check Kiosks over the next three months.
