MontegoNet Rings in New Year with New Name, Location & Products

Portsmouth, RI - February 3, 1999 - MontegoNet, a leader in the burgeoning interactive kiosk market, is starting the New Year with a number of new changes. Formerly MontegoNet Solutions, the company has selected the more user-friendly name MontegoNet in an effort to facilitate name-recognition. "When people think of kiosks, no particular company comes to mind � yet. But as our installed base continues to grow at a healthy rate, we want the name 'MontegoNet' to become synonymous with 'kiosk' in people's minds," noted Tim Kearns, MontegoNet Director of Marketing.

MontegoNet, recently ranked as the area's #2 fastest growing high tech company by Providence Business News, has also recently moved its operations from Middletown to Portsmouth, tripling its office space in the process. The new space will allow MontegoNet to increase its manufacturing capacity and warehouse space, and will provide additional office space for new hires. "MontegoNet is on the move, both figuratively and literally," said MontegoNet President Thomas Smith. "The interactive kiosk industry is experiencing explosive growth, and as a result, 1999 was a very exciting year for MontegoNet. We're taking a number of steps to ensure that 2000 will be an even more successful year."

To that end, MontegoNet has increased its R&D efforts and plans to release a number of new kiosk designs in the coming months, in response to customer demand. The new models will be similar in design to MontegoNet's successful slim-bodied kiosks, but will offer customers increased selection and functionality.
