Cirque Develops USB Touchpad Modules

- New GlidePoint^® Touchpad is the first USB model available to manufacturers - ;

14 February 2000 - Salt Lake City, Utah USA - Cirque Corporation, the leading manufacturer

of touchpads worldwide, announces the introduction of the TSM9925 touchpad module for USB interfaces. This new product is the first USB-ready touchpad device available to the design engineering community. Like other Cirque touchpads, the USB module will be ideal for use in industrial, medical, portable, and high traffic environments such as kiosks, because of its rugged durability and ease of use. TSM9925 will be available to manufacturers in early March.

Users of the new touchpad will be able to perform both primary and secondary mouse taps directly on the touchpad surface, eliminating the need for mechanical buttons in product designs. The TSM9925, which does not require software drivers, also incorporates Cirque's GlideExtend^™ edge-extender feature, wheel-mouse scrolling, and more convenient features.
