Spyglass Signs Greenleaf Medical for Windows CE Handheld Device Project
Spyglass Continues Professional Services Work in the Handheld Device Space
Naperville, Ill., -- Wednesday, March 31, 1999 -- Spyglass Inc. (NASDAQ:
SPYG) announced today it signed a Professional Services agreement with
Greenleaf Medical Systems Inc. for work in the Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation Market (PM&R). Greenleaf has contracted with Spyglass to
develop a unique Windows CE-based medical application for Greenleaf's
customers in rehabilitation services.
The partnership between Spyglass and Greenleaf brings the skills of both
parties to the table. Greenleaf has a history of providing innovative
applications allowing care providers to focus on patients, not the paperwork
required by today's health care system. Bringing this knowledge to
Spyglass, the company is providing the software development to embody
Greenleaf's vision.
"Spyglass continues to grow our device-oriented Windows CE-based
Professional Services projects," said Wayne Yurtin, director of business
development at Spyglass. "Building on Greenleaf's industry leading
technology and strong client base, Spyglass will be able to leverage our
Windows CE expertise to provide Greenleaf's customers with a leading edge
product."
Greenleaf Medical Vice President Susan Gibson explains the decision. "When
we required an outside Professional Services firm to develop the next
generation of handheld software applications, we chose Spyglass because we
need a highly customizable solution. To create our solution, we sought a
company with both the resources and a proven record of delivering
device-oriented applications. By working with Spyglass, we can focus on
producing high-quality medical applications, and Spyglass can do what they
do best -- producing customized solutions for the handheld device space."
