Semtor and Cybertotems Serve Soccer Fans at 2001 FIFA U-17 World Championship

(Fort Lauderdale, Florida - October 18, 2001) This year soccer fans visiting Trinidad and Tobago for the 2001 FIFA (F�d�ration Internationale de Football Association) Under-17 World Championship were able to find information on their favorite teams, current tournament scores and stats, game highlight video, and information on the best places to eat, drink and entertain themselves while in the islands - all without a TV, radio, newspaper or telephone.

Cybertotems Technologies, LLC, a full service developer and manufacturer of interactive multimedia kiosk systems, and Semtor, a customer self-service software developer, teamed together to place a total of eight interactive kiosks at stadiums, hotels and the airport in Trinidad. The dual-screen kiosks featured touch screens for user access, and a high-resolution display screen for running video clips and advertisements. Updated dynamic information was provided several times a day through an interface with the content management system of the FIFA website. Fans watched video highlights from the tournament, read bios of their favorite players, accessed schedules for future games, and learned the history of the tournament.
