Paul Steed Joins WildTangent
Redmond, WA, December 5, 2000: WildTangent today announced artist, designer
and art director, Paul Steed is now a producer at WildTangent, a Web-based
technology and content company founded by former Microsoft Direct X
evangelist, Alex St. John. Steed will create and direct creations of
original content showcasing WildTangent's Web Driver(tm), its compression
technology and easy-to-use software development kit (SDK).

creativity and extensive experience," said Alex St. John, CEO of
WildTangent. "His expertise is extraordinary and his contributions will
amplify WildTangent's abilities to produce the first-rate entertainment

games are featured on several major portals including Microsoft's Zone.com,
HappyPuppy.com, Z.com, and Eruptor Entertainment's site eruptor.com.

WildTangent's technology allows me to produce a game within a shorter time

sooner than under the traditional one to two year development cycle."
Paul Steed brings nine years of artistic experience in game development
spanning four major game companies - Origin, Iguana Entertainment, Virgin
Interactive and most recently id Software. In his career, Steed has
contributed art and art direction to games such as Strike Commander,
Privateer, Bioforge, Privateer II and the Wing Commander series. At id, he
contributed modeling, animations and cinematic work to Quake2, Quake3 Arena
and the upcoming Q3A Mission Pack. Steed is also a regular on the GDC
lecture tour and has written 13 magazine articles for Game Developer
magazine. He will produce action games at WildTangent including a
first-person shooter already in development. In addition, Steed is
currently working on a book on creating effective, 3D characters for games.
