BELLEVUE, Wash., Reuters [WN] : Coinstar Inc. <
CSTR.O>, which runs machines that count
coins in supermarkets, said on Tuesday it
resolved patent infringement ligitation
against Cash Technologies Inc.
The agreement provides for the dismissal of
each party's respective claims in the
litigation and effectively ends the dispute
over the patents, the companies said.
Cash Technologies develops and markets
electronic commerce kiosks and systems,
including transaction processing software.
Coinstar, which originally filed the claims on
June 18, 1997, said the settlement was in
the best interests of both parties.
