Press Release
NetShift and Brent Electronic join forces to provide leading edge payment solutions for kiosks and coin-operated computers.
London 3rd January 2002. Brent Electronic and NetShift are delighted to announce the formation of a strategic development and marketing agreement that will see the ever-growing Internet kiosk market serviced by the two industry leaders. As many kiosk deployments are hampered by the lack of an efficient, customisable payment mechanism, NetShift has developed a comprehensive payment system in conjunction with Brent Electronic to provide a modular kit that will allow OEMs and integrators the opportunity to easily and efficiently control the cash acceptance of everything from kiosks to computers.
Whether an organisation wishes to deploy kiosks, PC based gaming machines, cyber caf computers or any form of coin operated PC, the NetShift/Brent Electronic solution has been designed specifically for public access computers. The system, known as PC Credit, is available from both NetShift and Brent Electronic. The system can control coin, notes and tokens in any currency as well as add on modules for magnetic stripe and smart cards. The system will be shown for the first time at the ATEI 2002 in the Earls Court exhibition halls from 22nd to 24th January on the Brent Electronic stand.
We are delighted to be associated with such a powerful industry stalwart in Brent Electronic, said Nigel Seed, CEO of NetShift. with this alliance, the market opportunities for both our organisations worldwide are hugely expanded even though NetShift already stands as the global leader in kiosk software with over 50,000 users and Brent Electronic is the recognised as the leader in components and spares. The synergies are obvious and we expect a long and fruitful relationship with Brent to service the ever growing kiosk/coin operated PC market.
