(NASDAQ: SPYG) announced today at Embedded Systems Conference Spring tighter integration between its Spyglass Device Mosaic embedded Web browser and Spyglass Prism content delivery platform. Spyglass is demonstrating their technologies in booth #1221. Spyglass Prism is designed to simplify the delivery of information to the next generation of Web-enabled devices. It does this by converting standard Internet content into formats that match the specific requirements of any Internet device, including televisions and mobile data devices. Spyglass Device Mosaic has now been enhanced to work with the functionality in Spyglass Prism to provide a client-server solution that can be tuned to deliver optimized content to the device running Spyglass Device Mosaic. Such information could instruct Spyglass Prism to enhance images for clearer display, adjust fonts and perform color corrections for crisper display on televisions. This client-server "cooperation" will enable Spyglass to make adjustments, where necessary, to ensure customers can deploy fully optimized services to their consumers. Spyglass Prism enables service providers to offer integrated support for a wide variety of devices over a single integrated infrastructure. Such efficiencies are achieved by leveraging Spyglass Prism's dynamic content conversion capabilities. These capabilities optimize the delivery of Web-based content on network bandwidth and latency, content size and format, and the device's desired representation of the information. Spyglass Prism also allows content providers to eliminate the need to create and maintain multiple versions of a Web site, where each version is targeted to a particular device. By providing Spyglass Prism specific knowledge about the device through these new enhancements, Spyglass Prism can more efficiently tune and optimize the content to match the capabilities in the device. "Spyglass increasingly emphasizes the need for a total, end-to-end solution with our customers," said Randy Littleson, Spyglass vice president and general manager. "By integrating Spyglass Device Mosaic with Spyglass Prism, we are now able to help customers achieve new efficiencies in delivering content to a device."
