New Kiosk Printers Have Fastest Print Speed Under Windows�

Milford, CT � Practical Automation announces the release of their new ATX 23 and ATX 24 direct thermal 200 dpi printer systems with features to support unattended operation in a kiosk or similar environment. These features include cutters, loop presenters, anti-jam protection/detection, reverse channel status communication, and large capacity paper roll holders.

Designed for medium print width applications, these printers are ideally suited for printing coupons, receipts, lists, graphical information, etc. The printers are available in two models: ATX 23 has a maximum paper width of 3.34 inches; ATX 24 has a maximum paper width of 4.48 inches. The models are functionally equivalent.

The ATX printers are intended for use with the Windows operating system utilizing a supplied WYSIWYG driver. This unique driver, combined with the ATX�s raster organized print controller, will produce a printed output from any Windows application or language including True Type fonts and graphics. Under Windows print speed is fast � leading the printer industry at 3.1 inches per second.

Delivery is one to two weeks ARO. An ATX 23 configured with cutter, loop presenter, and internal paper roll holder sells for $787.00 in 100 piece quantity. Reseller and system integrator inquiries are welcome.
